Flamingos in Laguna Canapa.

Edel sitting in the lava fields by Bolivia's only active volcanoe.

It's not that active - only a slim line of smoke.

Necropolis - Inca grave site by San Juan.

Open air graves.

Quinoa - they eat it a lot here.

Salar de Uyuni.

We were here in the wet season so the salt flats had 10-30cm water over most of Salar de Uyuni.

Salt crystals on a rock.

The water didn't stop our mighty driver Cubenar from driving out to the island in the middle of the salt lake.

Salar de Uyuni salt lake.

View from Isla de Pescado (island in the middle of the salt lake).

The island used to be at the bottom of the ocean long long ago and many of the rocks are covered in fossil coral.

A little cave at the top of the Isla Pescado island.

The salt hotel - built entirely from salt..

Hard work..

Back on land at the edge of the salt lake.

Sculpture by the side of the road as you drive in to Uyuni.
