Inis Moor (Aran Islands). The one hour ferry out here was a bit rough.. Was 3-4 meter waves - the crew were handing out bags to people that looked like they might get sick and one person on the ferry was hugging the life-vest the entire way out. The bus from Galway out to the ferry also passed by the funeral of two poor fishermen who had drowned on this sea just the day before.

This is how most of the island looks. Divided nicely in 10x10 meter squares by stone fences.

Sea shells in every color.

And some blue-green waves bringing more ashore.

The first day on Inis Moor was very rainy and windy so all we did was find a B&B and stay inside to read Lonely Planet's and wait out the storm.. Took these photos the second day once we found our way out. With waves like this still coming in when the weather was nice(r..) I felt bad for not having had a look at the beach in the middle of the storm.

Nice surfing dunes. Probably a bit cold though..

Lots of nice stray cats hanging out everywhere on the island.

Waiting for a big wave..

Got it :-)

It's not inca walls exactly.

Another big one.

All the fields are nicely sized for about half a cow.

Edel making it to the highest point of the island.

A few rays of sun that found their way down through the cloud labyrinth.

Ship wreck just fifty meters away from our youth hostel in Dingle.

Found another safe place to practise some driving.
